ABOUT
The idea to open a store dedicated to running, cycling and triathlon came to us in 2001, in a biergarten in Germany. No ,we weren’t drunk, but we were feeling pretty good from competing in Ironman Germany. Maybe it was youthful optimism, maybe it was all of the adrenaline and endorphins coursing through our bodies - hell maybe it was the 6 liters of beer. Whatever it was that clouded our better judgment that day also gave us perfect clarity, because at that moment we knew exactly what we wanted to do with our lives.
We wanted to open a place where fellow athletes would feel like kids in candy store. Where they’d find the absolute best running, cycling and triathlon gear available along with the top-notch service, and the most experienced staff, - all under one roof. At the time, there were really no “concept stores” like it. Triathlons were relatively obscure, and Lance had only won the tour twice.
Our friends, fellow triathletes and otherwise, thought we were crazy and didn’t think the concept would fly. But we took our naiveté and passion, and poured our hearts and souls into making it work.
Thankfully, people who share our passion, and appreciate the hands on service you can only get from a local, specialty shop came in droves. So here we are years later. We have grown to two stores and have doubled our business several times over. Who would have thought? (Suck it haters! ) And while we’ve learned a thing or two about running a business along the way, our focus is, and always will remain the same – to provide the best gear and the best service for running, cycling and triathlon. Period.
